Q: If I can get Rat Blood Soup online for free, why would I want to pay to get back issues of the paper version?

A: That is a very good question. (and that's why I'm giving them away for free, see below). First of all, there are a lot of little graphic things, and some articles too, that are in the zine but will not be found on the web site. And any graphics look much better in the zine itself. You also can't take the website into the bathroom. But most important is that the paper version offers a much better fetish object. You can't rumple and fondle the electronic version. When you order the paper one though, you get something in the mail, right to your hands and it has weight and it smells; it is a different experience. And, these hand-stapled relics are pieces of art; collectors items of a limited number.

Aging in the climate-controlled catacombs of the Rat Blood Soup offices, these things are fast becoming antiques. Invest now!

Twice as intense as the first issue. The Longest, and coincidentally heaviest willzine, reaches new levels of sophistication with the help of better layout, and, something-I don’t know, maybe voodoo or something. Number Five

Slight change in tone. More text. Increasing subtlety with the occasional punch to the groin. Contains one of the best true stories, one of the best essays, and one of the best "funny" pieces to appear in the zine, or in any printed matter in the history of man, period. Number Six

The birth of Rat Blood Soup. Not the bloody, howling birth you'd explect, but rather a transformation, an alchemical thing, an imolation followed by resurrection type-deal. Actually it was more like just a name-change since the content is about the same. Proving again the old saying--The more that things change, the more fucked up they become. Number Seven

Rat Blood juggernaut continues with number seven. Reaching a peak of some sort, no doubt.
